Bar manager Jonas Vittur joins Copitas at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru

In a recent development, Copitas, the bar located on the 21st floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, has announced the appointment of Jonas Vittur as its new Bar Manager. Copitas, previously ranked 38th in Asia’s 50 Best Bars, is known for its stylish ambience and panoramic city views, making it a notable cocktail destination in Bengaluru.

Jonas Vittur, with a diverse background in the bartending world, brings his global experiences to Copitas. His career began at Dishoom Kings Cross in London, where he developed a connection with India. Reflecting on his choice of profession, Jonas stated, “I chose bartending as a profession for many reasons, but to name one, apart from pursuing my passion, is that it combines the versatility of both worlds, front-of-house and back-of-house dynamics."

Having previously served as Bar Director and Mixology Consultant at Whisky Samba, Gurugram, and achieving a ranking of 24th in the 30 Best Bars in India list for 2023, Jonas has demonstrated his expertise in the field. His international journey includes stints at Nature Spa Resort Quelle in Italy, High Five in Tokyo, and Le Lion-Bar de Paris in Hamburg, where he ranked 19th in the World's 50 Best Bars in 2015.

Despite having only spent one night in Bengaluru for a business meeting, Jonas sees the opportunity to work in India as his calling after the challenges posed by the pandemic. Savio Fernandes, Director of Food and Beverage, expressed confidence in Jonas, stating, “His rich global experiences, passion for the craft, and unique perspective will undoubtedly contribute to the exceptional service and atmosphere our guests expect."
