Assam students graduate in hospitality skills under Diageo programme

The programme offers over 300 hours of hospitality training, covering Front Office Administration, Food and Beverage services, interpersonal skills, and digital literacy

Diageo India announced the graduation of 100 students from Assam in the third batch of its 'Learning for Life' programme, which is conducted in collaboration with Orion Educational Society (OES). The convocation ceremony included notable figures such as Rupak Sarma, MLA, (Nagaon Sadar), Simanta Bora, Vice Chairman, Nagaon Municipal Board, Dr Sarat Borkotoki, Former Principal, Nowgong College Autonomous, Tarun Yadav, Cluster Head, Assam and Surajit Dutta, Public Policy Lead, Northeast from Diageo.

The programme offers over 300 hours of hospitality training, covering Front Office Administration, Food and Beverage services, interpersonal skills, and digital literacy. Graduates receive industry-approved certification, enhancing their employability in the hospitality sector. More than 5,200 young individuals have benefitted from this initiative to date.
