Air India is set to launch daily, non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London Heathrow starting on October 27, 2024. This move strengthens Air India's connectivity between London Heathrow and its three main hubs in India. The new service replaces the existing Bengaluru-London Gatwick route, increasing the frequency of flights between Bengaluru and London from five times a week to seven.
The non-stop flights will be operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 seats in Economy class. The service will add a total capacity of 3,584 seats weekly, offering more options for travellers between the two cities.
Air India also maintains a strong presence at London Gatwick, with 12 weekly flights connecting the airport to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi. Additionally, Air India continues to operate 31 weekly flights to London Heathrow from its hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.
