Rahul Gautam has taken over as the Director of Operations at JW Marriott Pune. Gautam brings a rich and diverse background in the hospitality industry, spanning over several prestigious properties and showcasing a wealth of experience and expertise.
Gautam's journey in the hospitality sector has been nothing short of extraordinary. In his previous organisation, he started as a Food and Beverage Manager, significantly contributing to the growth of all outlets. He was subsequently promoted to Director Food and Beverage where he spent four-and-a-half years leading the Food and Beverage Department with dedication and efficiency. During his time at The Leela, Gautam successfully launched Club Cuba, a poolside lounge, and revitalised two specialty restaurants, Dilli 32 and Mei Kun, both of which have become standout features of the hotel. Additionally, he adeptly managed North India’s banqueting operations at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, home to one of the country's largest pillarless ballrooms. In 2022, he was further elevated to the role of Director of Operations, where he skillfully oversaw all core operational departments for the property.
Prior to his time at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Gautam's distinguished career included positions at renowned luxury establishments in United Kingdom as well as in India such as The Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, The Taj Mahal, and Shangri-la Delhi, as well as Oberoi Cecil.
