Pullman, Novotel New Delhi Aerocity lends a helping hand for the society

The past few months during the second wave of COVID-19 really taught us how important it is to take a moment and come together as a community to nurture ourselves and others. To do our bit for the community and show our gratitude to frontline workers, we at Pullman and Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, set in motion a few initiatives.

As a token of our gratitude and appreciation, we were honored to deliver a total of 9800 refreshments for the Indian Army COVID-19 frontline warriors and healthcare workers at the Army Base Hospital and Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre & Hospital. This was a continued initiative undertaken by the hotel team to salute the Indian army for their selfless service in the fight against COVID-19.

Addressing the need of the hour, we saw numerous foundations, NGOs and volunteer groups coming forward and tirelessly working to provide essentials to those in dire need. We associated with one such organization, Breathe India, an initiative led by IITK alumni in collaboration with RightWalk Foundation raising funds to procure oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment to help India fight the COVID-19 battle. We pledged to donate a portion of the restaurant sales to Breathe India, every time someone ordered home delivery from us.

We also partnered with the Robin Hood Army, which is a volunteer based, zero-funds organisation that works to get surplus food from restaurants and the community to serve the underprivileged sections of the society, across India and 14 other countries. As a part of our donation drive with Robin Hood Army, we donated 250 vitality grain bags. Each grain bag was packed with - 5kgs atta, 3kgs rice, 2kgs pulses & lentils and 1ltr of cooking oil.

To improve the physical and emotional health & wellbeing and boost the spirits of our patrons and followers, we associated with our partners and organised Instagram LIVE sessions with musical performances, pottery & ceramics workshops, mixology sessions, cooking workshops that included easy recipes as well as holistic health & wellness sessions.

To our team members, we provided an essential Safety & Immunity Booster Kit, consisting of vitamin C tablets, Zinc capsules, B Complex, hand sanitizer and masks. To ensure all facets of health and nutrition of our heartists are covered, we introduced immunity boosting drinks and meals in the cafeteria menu.

And a dedicated team was created to help provide all teammates who were isolated and staying alone at home, with meals and other needs & requirements.
