Shangri-la Group Commenced the Construction of Mixed-Use Development Complex in China

THE SHANGRI-LA Group has recently announced that it has started construction work of Phase II of Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou - a new mixed-use development complex - located at the centre of Fuzhou China. This project will serve as a high-end commercial complex comprising a hotel, shopping mall, Food & Beverage outlets, office building and basement parking space. It will cater to the growing travel, business, leisure and lifestyle needs of today’s modern consumers.  The complex is scheduled for completion in 2022.  

This mixed-use development complex is located at Xinquan South Road of Gulou District, Fuzhou, close to Wuyi Square and Nanmendou Metro Station. The project will feature ecological construction concepts and is designed to bring more greenery into public areas. In addition, the complex aims to integrate contemporary retail experience and innovative social space by connecting it to Wuyi Square and the commercial circle of East Street. When completed, it is expected to bring even more buzz and life to the surrounding areas. 

The 414-room Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou opened in 2005 under the Project Phase I. Since then the hotel has been recognized for its high-quality services and international standards. China’s consumption-driven economy today represents new growth opportunities for Shangri-La. During the preparation and construction of the Project Phase II, Shangri-La Group received guidance and support from the local government. The group will continue to create iconic projects to promote the tourism industry and the economic growth of Fuzhou.
