LIVING UP to its name, Woodays is entirely wooden made huts resort made in Scandinavian styled architecture in Kufri Valley, Shimla. The resort offers a view of majestic snow clad peaks on one end and thick deodar forests on the other. The venture is entirely bootstrapped by five partners on equity basis. The tariff of the resort ranges between INR 7499 to INR 10499 depending upon the room type and season timing. The venture aims to establish a number of similar resorts across Himachal and its neighbouring states.
“We intend to meet the customers’ needs for such venues for stay as they are very few in number, especially near Shimla. The whole idea is creating an experience based brand taking the user to journey away from the hustle and bustle of their daily routines,” says Avesh Sharma, Co-Founder and CMO of Woodays Green hub Kufri, who has been working as a marketing professional for more than 10 years.
Sharma feels that today’s travellers are in a need for something different than the ordinary. Since the disposable income has risen, paying capacity has increased, leading people to step out of their homes and explore. The team has a long term plan to work around other corridors, including agriculture, organic farming once their first baby stands on its feet.
