Priya Singh Thakur Appointed Director HR at JW Marriott Juhu

PRIYA THAKUR Singh has recently been appointed as the Director of Human Resources, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. In this capacity, she will be responsible for taking care of talent acquisition, succession and workforce planning, performance management, training and development for hotel associates using technology efficiently.

With over 10 years of industry experience, Singh has worked with some well known companies such as Essar Group where she served as the Sr. Manager - International HR and M&A. She then moved to work with Pidilite Industries as the Team Head and the joined Cigna TTK Health Insurance Company Limited as a Business Partner where she worked for 2 years and 7 months before joining the Marriott family. Singh has completed her post graduation in Advertising & PR from Mumbai University and later went ahead to pursue her MBA in Human Resources Management from NMIMS.

 Coaching and developing talent in the team, serving as a member of the executive committee, constantly encouraging a positive work environment, maximising productivity and associate morale and upholding the Marriott culture will be among the many activities that Singh will be entrusted with. Singh has a natural acumen for associate relations due to her approachable and affectionate nature. Her team members have always looked forward to her counsel, guidance and encouragement at every step.

In her free time she likes reading, listening to music, meeting friends and spending time with her family.
