Global hospitality group Minor Hotels has appointed Rohit Pandey as General Manager of Anantara Jaipur Hotel, a new-build hotel set to launch later this year as the luxury brand’s debut in India.
Pandey joins Minor Hotels from The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru in India, where he most recently served as the five-star property’s Hotel Manager. He joined the hotel in 2020 as part of its pre-opening team, where he led strategies to drive revenue, the development of food and beverage concepts and the recruitment of the hotel team. His career spans more than two decades, working for brands such as Marriott International, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Dusit Thani Hotels & Resorts, One & Only Resorts, Aman Resorts, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Taj Hotels and Minor Hotels’ Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas and Avani Hotels & Resorts. A seasoned pre-opening hotelier, Rohit has held various food and beverage and operations roles at hotels and resorts in India, the Maldives, Seychelles and Thailand.
Pandey graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology in Gwalior, India. At Minor Hotels, Pandey will lead the launch and positioning of the group’s first Anantara in India, working alongside Amir Golbarg, Senior Vice President – Middle East, Africa and India, and Vijay Krishnan Vazhvelil, Vice President – Operations, India.
