WITH A robust strength of 400 exhibitors and 15,000 decision makers, the India International Hospitality Expo this year was a successful show.
Promising to be a bigger, better and grander show next year, Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart Limited (IEML) & Executive Director, EPCH, said that the show will continue to make hospitality industry a catalyst for economic growth and work towards its lofty vision – to become the biggest hospitality show in Asia.
“Most of the existing B2B platforms for the hospitality industry have prominence to food so there was a demand from the industry stakeholders to set up a vertical show dedicated for the hospitality industry. In 2019, we are targeting 45 countries and the prime focus of the fair will be to sign joint ventures and conduct maximum B2B meetings between buyers and sellers,” he said.
He also informed that the fair, that will be hosted at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, from August 7-10, 2019, will focus on eco-friendly products and companies showcasing these products.
Speaking about the range of exhibits, Kumar informed that the next year will have more of mock-up hotel rooms, cottages, food shows by eminent chefs which will make IHE the country’s largest and most comprehensive sourcing hub for hospitality, retail, baking, housekeeping and f&b industry.
“The aim is to build a strong networking model with industry leaders like CXOs, GMs, executive chefs, hotel-chain owners, F&B managers, HODs of engineering, housekeeping and purchase function, distributors/ wholesalers, procurement managers, designers, all the important frontline hospitality personnel and more,” he said.
With support from top industry bodies like EPCH, AIFPA, FHRAI, IFCA, ICF, NRAI, SIB, PHA, IPCA, SIHRA, FIFI, HOTREMAI, ARCHII, HPMF, PPFI, HI AIM and PIP2020, along with the support from Ministry of MSME and NSIC, IHE will continue to make hassle-free exhibition experience a reality.
