IHCL signs Taj Mangalore Resort and Spa
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 20 hotels in Karnataka
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), announced the signing of a new resort in Mangalore, Karnataka. This brownfield project will be branded as Taj, marking the company’s continued expansion into key leisure destinations.
Speaking on the occasion, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, stated, "Mangalore’s rich cultural heritage, strategic location along the coast, and burgeoning tourism sector present an ideal opportunity for a Taj branded hotel in the city. The signing is line with our vision to build presence in key growth markets.”
Nestled within expansive landscapes, Taj Resort & Spa, Mangalore boasts 96 designed guest rooms and suites. Guests can indulge in a variety of culinary delights at the resort's all-day diner, bar, specialty restaurant, and serene lobby lounge. For those seeking panoramic views, the Viewing Deck is a standout feature, renowned as the longest free-standing cantilevered concrete projection in the Indian Book of Records. The resort will house a J Wellness Circle offering a range of holistic wellness experiences. An open-air theatre and a state-of-the-art banqueting space exceeding 10,000 square feet make it ideal for social gatherings and weddings.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 20 hotels in Karnataka under Taj, Vivanta, Gateway and Ginger brands including six under development.
