IHCL maintains higher growth momentum with major expansions

Q1 FY2025 to witness 16 new hotel signings, adding to the robust portfolio

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) 's Q1 FY 2025 will be a period of expansions as the company has announced 16 new signings and successful opening of six new hotels, marking a substantial increase in its operational footprint and bringing their total portfolio to a remarkable 326 hotels. 

IHCL continues to lead the industry with a robust pipeline of 102 hotels currently under development, solidifying their commitment to shaping the future of Indian travel. By adding 16 new properties to its portfolio, IHCL has not only reinforced its market position but also strengthened its ability to deliver world-class hospitality experiences across a wide spectrum of locations. The six new hotel openings signify IHCL's capability in swiftly executing projects and bringing them to operational status, demonstrating its efficiency in hotel management and development.

Shedding light on the growth strategy, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, says, "Our Q1 signings reflect our commitment to accelerated growth and maintaining leadership in the Indian sub-continent. We entered into agreements for new markets like a Taj in Kanpur and Panchkula and a Gateway in Sarnath and Barnala."

Sharing her strategic vision, Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, says, “Our openings align with our goal of launching two new hotels per month. From foraying into new leisure destinations with a 77 keys SeleQtions at Mahabaleshwar to being present in commercial hubs like Nagpur with an 86 keys Ginger hotel. We also added to our presence in the industrial city of Jamshedpur with 94 keys Vivanta Hotel.”
