Hilton debuts in Vietnam’s largest city with the opening of Hilton Saigon

With stunning views of the Saigon River from every room, Hilton’s flagship-branded property will be a landmark addition to this dynamic city

Leading global hospitality company Hilton announced the opening of Hilton Saigon in the vibrant financial and residential hub of Ho Chi Minh City. This marks the debut of its award-winning flagship brand — and first hotel — in the city. A centrepiece in the heart of the metropolis with impressive views, Hilton Saigon embodies the essence of the locality, powered by a passion for service and hospitality.

“Vietnam is charting dynamic growth and fast establishing itself as a leading travel destination in Asia. With the opening of Hilton Saigon, we mark Hilton’s highly anticipated entry into the gateway city of Ho Chi Minh City, and are well on course to surpassing 1,000 trading hotels in Asia Pacific by next year,” said Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

Located just 30 minutes away from the Tan Son Nhat Airport, the hotel is surrounded by famous cultural sites and historical landmarks. Guests can explore the city’s charming heritage buildings such as the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Central Post Office, and the Saigon Opera House, all within walking distance from the hotel. Beyond the neighbourhood, travelers can embark on authentic local excursions such as a picturesque tour of the Mekong Delta, an exciting exploration of the 200-kilometer Cu Chi Tunnel, or a scenic sunset cruise along the Saigon River.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hilton to introduce Hilton Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. With our deep understanding of the local market and Hilton's long-standing expertise and legacy, we are confident that Hilton Saigon will set a new precedent in Vietnam's hospitality landscape," said Phan Quang Chat, chairman of board of directors, Unity Investment Corporation.

Thoughtful design with an urban pulse

Hilton Saigon pays homage to Ho Chi Minh City through the seamless integration of the city’s heritage and culture into its design and architecture, creating an environment that balances serenity and vibrancy for its guests. Inspired by horizontal layers represented in traditional Vietnamese temple typology, Hilton Saigon is designed in visual harmony with the historic neighbourhood of Me Linh square. Featuring a contemporary yet timeless silhouette, Hilton Saigon will serve as an architectural landmark in the cityscape.

The hotel's 228 guest rooms and suites offer sleek, contemporary interiors with subtle botanical inspirations, and stunning views of the Saigon River, enabling guests to take in the essence of Ho Chi Minh City.

Where events, connections, ideas and experiences flourish

Hilton Saigon offers guests a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a thriving urban environment and pursue meaningful work and connections, whilst enjoying utmost comfort and relaxation. The hotel boasts one of the largest convention facilities in the city, featuring 1,054 square metres of event space. This includes an expansive contemporary pillar-less Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 320 guests for weddings and 550 guests for conferences and other large-scale events. Guests looking to hold smaller meetings can choose from nine meeting rooms, ranging from 52 to 495 square metres, outfitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and high-speed internet.

Guided by Hilton’s global Meet with Purpose programme, meetings and events at Hilton Saigon helps clients create meaningful change in both the attendee experience and within the local community. Inspired by the connections made through global travel, Meet with Purpose allows clients to gather sustainably and create positive impact. From wellness and mindfulness themed events to catering that optimizes nutrition, Hilton Saigon’s seasoned events team works collaboratively with clients to tailor truly unique event experiences that are also clean, flexible, safe, and socially responsible.

For guests looking to unwind and recharge, the award-winning eforea Spa features indulgent treatments designed to leave guests relaxed and rejuvenated. A swimming pool and fitness centre are also available for guests who wish to keep up their fitness routine. Additionally, guests staying in Suites and Executive rooms can enjoy access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge.

Destination dining in the centre of the city

The hotel features four distinct dining concepts that spotlight and celebrate the bold flavours of Vietnam alongside international cuisine. At the heart of Hilton Saigon lies Me Linh Lounge, where guests can connect and socialise over freshly-baked pastries, light snacks, and refreshments throughout the day, against the backdrop of the bustling city. Embodying the art of gathering over meals, The Strand, the hotel’s all-day dining establishment, features a lounge, a Western kitchen and an Asian kitchen. Here, guests can indulge in a delectable array of dishes that reflect the diverse flavours of Vietnamese and international cuisine.

Guests are transported through time to experience the glamour of old China at Residence Eleven. Spanning two floors, the restaurant design is inspired by the modern interpretation of Beijing heritage homes. Boasting an impressive duck oven with a carving station and a glass show kitchen in the main dining area, Residence Eleven serves Northern Chinese cuisine made with seasonal and premium ingredients. For a truly memorable experience, guests can venture to the rooftop to the modern Chinese chic Song Bar, opening in the second quarter of this year, which offers a comfortable lounge and booth setting for guests to unwind over light bites, tipples and live entertainment. The rooftop bar also features an outdoor terrace, allowing guests to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Saigon River and cityscape.

"As a city celebrated for its rich heritage, culture, and culinary delights, Ho Chi Minh City blends the buzz of a big city with the warmth of the local culture, creating a distinct allure for global travelers," stated Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice president, brand management, Asia Pacific, Hilton. "We are thrilled to put our guests at the centre of this dynamic destination, inspiring them to connect and discover the best of the city, complemented by Hilton’s signature hospitality and its promise to deliver reliable and friendly stays."

Hilton Saigon joins a portfolio of 14 trading and pipeline Hilton hotels in Vietnam. In December 2023, Hilton also welcomed La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton, which marked the lifestyle brand’s entry into Vietnam.
