Harnessing Global Expertise for India’s Hospitality Boom

The eighth edition of the prestigious BW Hotelier Indian Hospitality Summit & Awards (IHA 2024) hosted the BWH Leadership Dialogue: Global Insights for local growth including industry veterans and experts, with moderator Puneet Dhawan, Head of Asia, Minor Hotels. And various speakers such as Nihat Ercan, CEO, Asia Pacific, Hotels and Hospitality Group, JLL Salil Panigrahi, Managing Director, Atmosphere Core Omar Romero, Chief Development Officer and Luxury Officer, Minor Hotels Khaled Assaf, Commercial Director and Head of Marketing, Marjan, RAK, UAE.

Ercan said, “APAC- Investment activities are looking for next big growth market, and India is an open opportunity” “In terms of volume, this year, there was the highest single lasting sales from India” “There is a lot of offshore capital that is coming in India from direct market, from Qatar, Emirates and Saudi, Thailand, Singapore  they are looking for investments, and equal funding from India and diversify into Indian market.”

Adding on to the talk, Panigrahi said,  “ The science of hospitality is  global, the science doesn't change” "The art does change with region, culture, area, people, but science remains constant". “Satisfied guests are the only ultimate pick for any science of hospitality, it should be blissful, the guests have to be happy with the services”.

“ India is a confident country for hospitality business” “Hotels are full, business is getting held, India has everything naturally, wellness, heritage, adventure tourism, travels, that a business needs for a new setup,” said Romero.

And lastly speaking about the Indian market, Assaf said,  “ It’s a huge market” “It's always good to look at the diversity that the country provides”. “India has a great benchmark in the hospitality sector,” he added.
