Could you share insights into Ramee Group’s current expansion plans and the key markets you are targetting?
Ramee Group is strategically expanding its footprint, primarily targetting all regions of India. We believe in India’s growth story and are aggressively looking at all Tier I, Tier II and Tier III cities. These locations hold immense potential and we are eager to bring the Ramee unique lifestyle hospitality experience to these vibrant markets.
This year alone, we have formed multiple strategic partnerships to expand our hotels in cities like Bhuj, Coimbatore, Munnar and Amritsar. In the F&B space, we are looking to open half a dozen more unique lifestyle offerings in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Indore, Pune and others. We are in a sweet spot as a lifestyle brand offering a variety of unique experiences.
How does Ramee Group adapt its business model to cater to the evolving preferences and needs of customers in the Indian market?
As a lifestyle brand, Ramee Hotels caters to all traveller needs, completing a full cycle of guest services. Guests can conduct business meetings, complete office schedules, and enjoy unique F&B offerings without leaving the hotel. We adapt to changing customer needs by continuously introducing new F&B outlets, including nightclubs and cuisine-based restaurants. With approximately 20 different F&B concepts, we keep reinventing these plus adding more to maintain our position as a leading player in the hospitality business.
In what ways does Ramee Group leverage technology to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations across its properties?
We leverage technology to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations across our properties. Our user-friendly online booking platforms allow guests to easily search for and reserve accommodations, providing detailed information about rooms, amenities, and rates for informed decision-making.
Technology simplifies both frontend and backend operations, helping us connect seamlessly with guests and optimise manpower productivity. We are investing further in technology to introduce new features that will enhance guest experiences even more.
With the rise of experiential travel, how is Ramee Group innovating to offer unique and memorable experiences to guests?
We offer guests distinctive and unforgettable experiences through various avenues. Our curated experiences transcend traditional hospitality offerings, including cultural tours, culinary adventures and thrilling activities. Guests can immerse themselves fully in the local culture and surroundings, creating lasting memories that go beyond typical tourist experiences.
Recognising the growing interest in wellness travel, we offer wellness and spa retreats at select properties. Guests can enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments and embark on holistic wellness journeys, providing a sanctuary for relaxation and self-care.
What are some of the challenges Ramee Group faces in the Indian hospitality market, and how do you approach overcoming them?
The biggest challenge in the hospitality market is acquiring good talent. Finding candidates who fit our culture and can stay loyal is becoming difficult. Post-Covid, the attraction towards this career option has reduced due to the risk and vulnerability experienced during the pandemic.
Another challenge is retaining the trained workforce. Often, we hire good people, train them, and when it's time to deliver, they seek other opportunities. Ramee Group tackles these challenges by ensuring employee engagement activities and investing time in planning the career paths of our high-potential employees. We offer growth opportunities first to our current performers. Additionally, we run a hotel academy in Tirupati to develop a pipeline of fresh talent for our locations in India and abroad.
Sustainability and eco-consciousness are increasingly important in the hospitality industry. What initiatives has Ramee Group undertaken in this regard?
We acknowledge the increasing importance of sustainability and eco-consciousness and have implemented various measures to reduce our environmental footprint. Our initiatives include energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, sustainable sourcing, green building design, community engagement, and certifications and awards.
In terms of energy efficiency, we have adopted practices such as water conservation, rainwater harvesting systems, and water-efficient landscaping to reduce water usage. We emphasise waste reduction and recycling by implementing waste segregation, composting organic waste, and collaborating with local recycling facilities. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in the hospitality industry.
How does Ramee Group differentiate itself from competitors in terms of branding, service offerings, or customer engagement strategies?
Ramee Group’s branding emphasises a blend of luxury, hospitality and cultural authenticity, distinguishing it as a provider of immersive experiences that capture the essence of its destinations. By infusing modern amenities with traditional charm, we create a distinctive brand narrative that appeals to both local and international travellers seeking memorable stays.
Ramee Group of Hotels, as a lifestyle brand, meets the comprehensive needs of travellers by providing a full spectrum of guest services. Guests can host business meetings and indulge in distinctive food and beverage experiences, all within the hotel premises. Our diverse portfolio of hotels and F&B concepts sets us apart as a unique Indian chain offering such a wide range of services.
What role does customer feedback play in shaping Ramee Group’s strategies and improving guest satisfaction?
Customer feedback plays a pivotal role in shaping our strategies and enhancing guest satisfaction. Feedback from guests provides valuable insights into their experiences, preferences, and areas for improvement. It serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement within our properties. By listening to guest suggestions, concerns, and recommendations, we can implement targetted actions to address specific areas of concern and enhance the overall guest experience.
As the VP of Ramee Group, what do you see as the key trends shaping the future of the hospitality industry in India, and how is your company preparing to adapt to them?
One significant trend shaping the hospitality industry is the growing demand for experiential travel, with travellers craving unique and immersive experiences beyond traditional accommodations. Another prominent trend is the rising emphasis on sustainability and eco-consciousness among travellers. With increasing environmental awareness, guests prioritise staying at eco-friendly properties.
Ramee Group addresses this trend by implementing energy-efficient measures, water conservation initiatives and sustainable sourcing practices across our properties, pursuing certifications to underscore our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Additionally, the industry sees a shift toward a more diverse and inclusive landscape, with travellers seeking accommodations that celebrate diversity and cultural authenticity. Ramee Group actively promotes diversity and inclusivity within our properties, fostering welcoming environments that embrace guests from all walks of life.
