Avani Hotels and Resorts celebrates Venetian debut with the launch of Avani Rio Novo

Avani Hotels & Resorts, a part of Minor Hotels, has added to its European portfolio with the opening of Avani Rio Novo Venice. The hotel is designed to cater to remote professionals and millennial travellers who seek a blend of work and leisure during their stays.

The resort offers a convenient location for exploring the historic city of Venice. Situated in the Dorsoduro neighbourhood, it provides easy access to the city's cobbled alleys, ancient waterways, and iconic bridges. This strategic location allows guests to immerse themselves in the local culture, with authentic eateries serving cicchetti snacks and lively bars nearby.

Standing as a contemporary landmark with its sleek glass façade, the hotel showcases Italian rationalist architecture with clean lines and geometric shapes, paying homage to Venice's strong connection to the world of cinema, notably the annual Venice Film Festival. The  neighbourhood of the hotel is known for its world-class art galleries, including the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which offer cultural treasures to art enthusiasts. With 144 rooms and suites in monochrome shades, featuring elegant parquet floors and full-height windows providing panoramic views of Venice's rooftops and canalside gardens, The rooms are designed to offer a calming and comfortable stay.

For film enthusiasts, the hotel boasts the 8 Millimetri Cicchetti & Wine restaurant, adorned with black-and-white photographs of Italian cinema icons. Guests can enjoy an espresso and hearty breakfast, as well as grab-and-go options. The restaurant also offers flexible meeting spaces on the ground floor, accommodating up to 130 participants.
