Keeping in line with its philosophy of responsible hospitality and memorable experiences, Tamara Leisure Experiences has launched The Tamara Collaborative, an initiative to bring together brands that share the Group’s vision and sensibilities.
The first of The Tamara Collaborative kick-started Meghaa Modi, an event stylist, a wedding and concept designer and a floral and multimedia artist who believes in using eco-friendly materials in her designs that are close to Nature and believe in the concept of love, energy and floral chi.
As part of the Collaborative effort, all Tamara properties including The Tamara Kodai, The Tamara Coorg and O by Tamara, were decorated for the festive season using eco-friendly materials that are handmade, reusable and close to Nature. At O by Tamara, local flora, natural reusable wooden frames, orchids and pinewood were used to decorate the property and welcome the guests. At The Tamara Kodai, locally sourced cinnamon sticks, dried oranges, succulents, and even a 10 feet tall tree using jute was used as part of the décor to usher in the New Year celebrations. The decorations at The Tamara Coorg included wool and of course, coffee beans, apart from locally sourced and hand-made materials.
“The idea of The Tamara Collaborative stemmed from our commitment towards sustainability and how innovative ideas can emerge from collaborations between brands with similar values. These kinds of collaborations can also yield greater awareness and inspiration alike thereby helping the larger objective. One of our key focuses is to inspire design and décor ideas with elements from Nature. We will be looking at meaningful collaborations going forward and will bring together brands that share our sustainability vision and sensibilities to offer fresh and inspiring perspectives,” said Shruti Shibulal, CEO, Tamara Leisure Experiences.
