Radisson RED makes its Irish debut in Galway

Guest rooms are a fusion of style and functionality, featuring high technology like wireless charging and ChromeCast

Radisson RED Galway has officially opened, marking the brand's vibrant entry into Ireland. Situated in the dynamic Crown Square area, close to Galway city centre, this hotel combines bold design with a relaxed atmosphere, perfectly aligning with Galway’s cultural vibrancy.

Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Area Senior Vice President Northern & Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, adds, “Opening the first ever Radisson RED property in Ireland is a monumental occasion, and I could not be prouder that it’s located in Galway, which happens to be my hometown. The property perfectly marries the bold vibrance of the brand’s design with the culture and heritage of the city, and it is an ideal choice for business and leisure guests alike.”

Developed by the Rhatigan Group and designed by Dublin-based architects Henry J Lyons, the 177-room property is characterised by a contemporary aesthetic with deep walnut tones, vibrant reds, and brass accents. A south-facing terrace and interactive bar create inviting spaces for guests to socialise or unwind.

Guest rooms are a fusion of style and functionality, featuring high technology like wireless charging and ChromeCast. Thoughtful design details, including striking artwork and large windows, enhance comfort and reflect Galway’s rich heritage.

The Claddagh Bar & Grill on the ground floor offers modern Irish cuisine with subtle nods to local culture in its design. Meanwhile, Lena’s Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, seating 140, boasts panoramic views of Galway Bay and a menu showcasing locally sourced ingredients and signature cocktails.

The hotel features nine versatile meeting spaces, including the Tribe Suite, accommodating up to 220 guests. Smaller breakout rooms and private areas provide flexibility for networking and creative events, complemented by state-of-the-art technology and a private bar.

Padraic Rhatigan, Principle of the Rhatigan Group, says, “We are proud to be bringing this new, high-quality destination hotel to our home city of Galway. Radisson RED is a great fit for our city, and we are looking forward to revealing the standout design and sophisticated offering in Galway.”
