Mekong Kingdoms, a premier luxury river cruise operator, has shown up ‘Bohème’, its latest addition to the fleet, promising an unparalleled boutique experience on Southeast Asia's iconic Mekong River. Launched on December 9, 2024, the 50 metre vessel will offer a six-day, five-night voyage between Luang Prabang and Vientiane in Laos.
Guests can complement their journey with a stay at the historic Avani+Luang Prabang Hotel, exploring the UNESCO-listed royal capital. Aboard Bohème, mornings can be spent birdwatching or indulging in massages in the two onboard treatment rooms. Afternoons feature cultural excursions, while evenings are graced with riverside dining and classes in cooking and mixology led by a 20-member crew, including chefs, tour guides, and spa therapists.
Onshore highlights include visits to the Pak Ou caves, Kuang Si waterfall, and traditional craft villages such as Ban Xang Khong for paper-making and Ban Chan for pottery. Guests will also engage with elephants at the Xayaboury Conservation Centre before enjoying a farewell dinner and traditional Lao dance at Pak Lay.
With 13 suites accommodating up to 26 passengers, Bohème blends understated luxury with regional design. Guests can choose from Deluxe Suites, Premier View Suites, or the exclusive Royal Suite, which features a private sundeck and dedicated butler.
