Greenlam extends Covid-19 health insurance scheme for interior contractors under the aegis of ‘Decowood Cares’

Greenlam Industries Ltd., a provider of decorative surfacing solutions, announces ‘Decowood Cares’ initiative under its decorative veneer brand Decowood. The initiative aims at supporting its interior contractors to ensure their well-being during the pandemic. Decowood is, therefore, offering health insurance cover worth Rs 1 Lakh to its existing interior contractors who are a part of the brand’s annual program called Achievers Club.

Speaking on the occasion Shivaji Mohinta, Country Head, Decorative Veneers and Flooring, Greenlam Industries Ltd. said, “At Greenlam Industries Ltd., safety and health of our employees and customers have been of paramount importance to us. Looking at the nature of on-site work, our support system of interior contractors is amongst those who are highly prone to virus exposure. At a time, when they have been supporting us through thick and thin, we wanted to ensure all the safety and health resources are provided to them. With this vision, we came up with ‘Decowood Cares’ initiative which aims at providing health insurances and safety kits to foster a safe yet seamless working process for our community of interior contractors. With this initiative, we welcome back our community to work again amidst a safe work environment.”

Given the current situation, the interior contractors are one of those communities whose on-site presence is crucial for getting the work done. As businesses and operations have resumed, they are the ones who are working with beautifully crafted veneers to make our spaces look spectacular even during such difficult times. To help create a hygienic and safe work environment, ‘Decowood Cares’ is a humble initiative that ensures health of its community. Apart from the insurance support, Decowood has also curated a ‘Safety Hygiene Kit’ which comprises of masks, gloves, sanitizer and policy card to keep its community safe at the workplace.
