Goa Tourism has clinched the Best Responsible Tourism Initiative in India award at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) held from December 6 to 8, 2024 at the HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad. The award, presented by NSN Mohan, Regional Director - India, SKAL International, was received by Rajendra Tari, Information Assistant, Department of Tourism, and Harish Satlekar, Manager Marketing, GTDC. The recognition underscores Goa’s commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism practices, further strengthening its position as a pioneer in Regenerative Tourism.
The Goa Tourism Pavilion at IITM Hyderabad became a hub of activity, hosting B2B interactions and dynamic networking sessions that showcased Goa as the ultimate destination for culture, heritage, and unforgettable experiences. Attendees were drawn to the Pavilion’s vibrant displays, interactive engagements, and exclusive offerings.
Throughout the event, Goa Tourism highlighted its rich heritage, vibrant festivals, and exciting travel packages, emphasizing unexplored destinations and initiatives like hinterland and eco-tourism circuits. Visitors also had the opportunity to explore exclusive travel packages and learn about Goa’s innovative strides in promoting tourism beyond beaches.
