Avani+ Khao Lak Resort appoints Simon Beaumont as the new General Manager

Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Simon Beaumont as the new General Manager of Avani+ Khao Lak Resort, effective July 2024. Beaumont brings over 35 years of global hospitality experience to his new role, where he will oversee the resort’s operations and drive its strategic growth.

“In the industry, Simon is known for his profound knowledge of the operational side of hotel management, steering properties to their full potential,” said Puneet Dhawan, Head of Asia at Minor Hotels.

Beaumont’s career spans food and beverage roles and senior leadership positions across Australia, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Most recently, he served as Interim CEO at Azerbaijan’s Absheron Hotel Group, where he managed 14 internationally branded properties. His experience also includes 13 years with Marriott International, where he contributed to the success of multiple high-profile properties in Asia and Europe.
