ON THE 10th June, AccorHotels India hosted its annual General Managers Meet at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre. Besides the AccorHotels India leadership and GMs of all AccorHotels properties in India, the momentous meet was attended by senior business leaders from the AccorHotels Singapore team, including Graham Wilson, Chief Marketing & Distribution Officer, Asia Pacific; Kerry Healy, Vice President Sales ASPAC; Emilie Couton, Vice President Digital Marketing ASPAC; Celine Hurelle, Vice President Distribution & Systems ASPAC; James Merchant, Vice President Business Intelligence & RM, Asia Pacific; and Henrik Berglind, Vice President Loyalty for Asia Pacific. The event started with a welcome note by Jean-Michel Cassé, Senior Vice President Operations, AccorHotels India followed by business updates as well as vision & objectives for 2016 from the India vertical heads.
Ashish Sud, Director of Hotel Operations Finance ran all attendees through a recap of the results for 2015 and the budget followed by the objectives for the year 2016. Nilesh Patel, Director of IT detailed the various group initiatives in becoming the leading digital hotelier and the global IT focus areas. Arif Patel, Vice President Sales, Marketing & Distribution summarized his presentation around the 5 T’s of Touch, Trust, Team, Technology and Topline. His update gave way to Sustainability as the Objectives of AccorHotels for 2016 were presented, followed by updates on Planet 21 on the reduction in the consumption of water, electricity and food wastage by Ashwin Shirali, Regional Director of Talent & Culture.
Also on agenda was AccorHotels Singapore team sharing details on their Digital strategy incorporating Performance drivers, key priorities, new projects and other global strategies in a conversational style. A session by Henrik Berglind’s on the Loyalty KPIs and the growth strategy for Le Club AccorHotels in ASPAC and India in particular wrapped up the proceedings of the day.
Along with the General Managers Meet, the day marked celebrations for two historic milestones for Novotel in India: the iconic brand completing ten years in the country and AccorHotels renewing its decade-long partnership with Cyberabad Convention Centre for the management of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) and the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
Speaking on the joyous occasion, Jean-Michel Cassé, Senior Vice President Operations, AccorHotels India, said, ”The timing for the General Managers Meet could not be better, for 2016 also marks the completion of a successful decade for the Novotel brand in India and this hotel, truly has been the start of that incredible journey for Novotel in India. NHCC has set an outstanding example of what the Novotel brand exemplifies and has led the way for the growth and development of the Novotel family in India. From way back in 2006, we now have a 13-hotels strong Novotel network in India and growing. We expect to open another three this year.”
